Mission

To prevent the pain and trauma of burn injuries to children, and; To heal and give children who have suffered severe burns the opportunity to reach their full potential, physically, psychologically and socially.

Overview

The Children’s Burn Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support services and reconstructive treatment to burn patients aged 18 and under and their families. The Foundation strives to prevent burn injuries through burn prevention program outreach in Southern California, as well as nationally and internationally.

Treatment and Community

The Foundation also provides opportunities for burn survivors to connect with each other to build a community and provide mutual support. The Foundation provides assistance for medical and reconstructive treatments and physical therapy.

Best Practices

The Foundation develops and offers innovative fire and burn prevention programs to public school systems in Southern California and to professionals in the U.S. and other countries. In collaboration with burn care professionals and local fire departments, the Foundation conducts research to identify best practices, develop new program offerings and disseminate program results to teach the public how to prevent burn injuries.
