- What are the different ways you can make a gift?
- Gifts can be made online, by check, money order, credit card or stock transfer. You can
- make a one-time donation

Remember that many employers will match the contributions their employees make, doubling or even tripling the amount that the Foundation receives. Please check with your or your spouse’s personnel department to find out more about your company’s matching gift policy. - What are the tax benefits of making a contribution?
- Any gift for which you do not receive goods or services is fully tax-deductible. Giving appreciated securities that you have owned for more than a year entitles you to capital gains tax savings, and selling depreciated securities entitles you to claim capital loss. Since the tax benefits of different types of gifts can vary, we urge you to consult your financial and legal advisors for specific tax information.
- Can I designate my gift?
- Unrestricted gifts give the Children’s Burn Foundation is the greatest flexibility to direct funds to the area where they are most needed at the time of the gift. But you may designate your gift by choosing, educational programs, Camp Gung-Ho, full-recovery program or the Teen Center.
- How do I make a gift in memory of or in honor of a friend or loved one?
- Just tell us whom you wish to memorialize or honor when you send us your gift. If you would like us to notify the person(s) or their family of your gift, please provide us with the appropriate contact information. Please note that we do not disclose gifts amounts, only that a gift was made in honor or in memory of someone. To make this easy, you can fill out the form online or fill in the form below and send it to us with your donation.
- What can I give?
- There are many different assets you can use to create a meaningful gift to the Children’s Burn Foundation. Cash or check is most common. But you also may give securities, retirement funds, real estate, insurance policies, a closely held business, art, or other tangible property.
- Planned Giving
- Planned giving may allow you and your family to reap financial and tax benefits while investing in the future of the Children’s Burn Foundation and enabling us to continue our mission by providing innovative fire safety and burn prevention education programs for children, parents and other caregivers as well as full recovery programs to serve the medical, psychosocial and other special needs of child burn survivors.
- Bequest
- Bequest are the most popular planned gifts and offer the satisfaction of knowing your gift will benefit the Children’s Burn Foundation for years to come. Bequest may be made for general support or designated to support a special area. You can choose to make a general bequest, which gives us the greatest flexibility to use your gift where it is needed most, or designated bequest, which allows you to support a special area such as fire safety and burn prevention education for children, parents and other caregivers; full recovery programs to serve the medical, psychosocial and other special needs of child burn survivors. You may also choose to place your bequest in an endowed fund that is permanently invested by the Children’s Burn Foundation and generates annual income for you specify.
