L.A. Troupe Theatre-In-Education is a lively, engaging program that teaches young children life-saving, fire safety and burn prevention skills. Children learn to crawl low under smoke, to test smoke detectors monthly, to never play with matches and that every home needs a fire escape plan. The program uses theater as a teaching tool to reach students with a variety of learning styles, such as auditory, visual and tactile. Children especially love the audience participation part of the program, where selected students go on stage and interact with L.A. Troupe’s Great Smoke Detective and Inspector Danger characters, as they learn important skills for preventing, and reacting to fires. L.A. Troupe is delivered to Los Angeles area students in kindergarten through third grade. An estimated 55,000 students participate annually. To schedule L.A. Troupe Theatre-In-Education at your school or to learn more, please contact us. |
