Who can attend camp?

Camp Gung Ho is for child burn survivors and their siblings, ages 6 to 14.  Teens, ages 15-18, can join as junior counselors. Participants are referred by burn centers in the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and Ventura County areas, including Arrowhead, LAC+USC County, Grossman Burn Centers, Torrance Memorial, UCI and Shriners Hospitals.

How much does camp cost?

Camp Gung-Ho is absolutely FREE!

Thursday, June 30: Foam, Food and Pool Party!
Campers board a chartered bus to a private residence in Calabasas. Snacks, drinks and lunch  provided. Wear bathing suits and comfortable clothing.  Bring towel and a change of clothing. Camp Gung Ho T-shirts provided! Sunscreen applied throughout the day.
Drop-off and Pick-up: CBF office, 5000 Van Nuys Blvd, Suite 210, Sherman Oaks
Drop off: 8:30 AM; Pick up: 4:00 PM
(Space is limited.  First come, first serve.  RSVP early!)

Thursday, July 7: Carnival Games & Pool Fun!

Campers walk to Sherman Oaks Park near CBF. Snacks, drinks and lunch provided!

Fun day with carnival games, prizes and afternoon swimming at the community pool! Wear bathing suits and comfortable clothing. Bring a towel and a change of clothing. Camp Gung Ho T-shirts are provided and must be worn! Sunscreen applied throughout the day. Drop-off and Pick-up: CBF office, 5000 Van Nuys Blvd, Suite 210, Sherman Oaks

July 30, 2022 at Saturday, July 30: Magic Castle!
A once-in-a-lifetime event at the world-famous, private magic club where the magic comes alive! Brunch and magic show included! Dress code enforced: Dress in your Sunday best: dresses, slacks, button-down or polo shirts, dress shoes. (No t-shirts, tennis shoes, sandals, shorts, hoodies, logo clothing!

Saturday, August 6: Family Beach Day - Burn Survivor & Immediate Family!
Save the Date for the annual Family Beach Day!
Fun day at the beach with games, beach activities and delicious food. 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM.  Join at your own risk. Parents MUST supervise their children at all times. Location and details to follow.
