CBF hosted its annual Giving New Hope Benefit on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at The Beverly Hilton, bringing together leaders in medicine, entertainment, and philanthropy to support children and families impacted by burn injuries.

The evening honored Noah Wyle, Executive Producer, writer, director, and Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning star of The Pitt, with the Giving New Hope Award in recognition of his creative vision and commitment to causes that lift children and families. His work highlighting the urgency and humanity of medicine has resonated deeply with audiences and reflects the real-life journeys faced by burn survivors and the medical professionals who care for them.

The Giving New Hope Award was presented by the Chairman of the Board of Children’s Burn Foundation, Lynda Fadel, along with burn survivors Olivia and Sofia, whose courage and recovery journeys reflect the mission of Children’s Burn Foundation to support children long after they leave the hospital.
“I am humbled to receive this award,” said Wyle during his acceptance remarks. “But the real heroes are our health care workers, who dedicate their careers and their lives to helping others— often when people are in their greatest need. And I can’t imagine a more critical need than when a patient has suffered severe burn injuries, especially when it happens to the most vulnerable among us — our kids.”
Children’s Burn Foundation also presented the Douglas M. Mancino Spirit of Humanity Award to Patricia and John Nickoll for their extraordinary compassion, leadership, and long-standing dedication to children and families served by CBF. The award was renamed this year in loving memory of Doug Mancino, CBF’s co-founder, whose vision helped shape the Foundation’s mission for more than three decades.

The evening, emceed by Fritz Coleman, Vice Chairman of the Board and retired NBC4 weathercaster, featured a hosted reception, dinner, program, and auction. Burn survivors shared moving stories of resilience and recovery, reminding attendees that healing is not a single moment, but a journey supported by community, care, and compassion.
The event also highlighted Children’s Burn Foundation’s global partnerships, including its work with Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in Edo State, Nigeria, where the Foundation’s Full Recovery Program provides advanced burn care for children with the most serious injuries.

Through the support of FIGS, the healthcare apparel brand that outfits Noah Wyle and the medical team on The Pitt, the burn unit in Nigeria is equipped with medical scrubs for Dr. Esezobor and the entire burn care team. During the evening, FIGS generously offered to match donations at the $500 level, helping expand critical care for child burn survivors.
Proceeds from Giving New Hope help support Children’s Burn Foundation’s comprehensive programs, which provide reconstructive surgeries, medical care, emotional and psychological support, financial assistance, and community education. CBF’s prevention programs have educated more than two million children, parents, and caregivers, while its services impact more than 200,000 children and families annually.

“Giving New Hope is a celebration of the community that makes recovery possible,” said Kirstin Clink, Executive Director of Children’s Burn Foundation. “We are grateful to honor individuals whose work and generosity help ensure families are supported through every stage of healing.”
