Camp Gung Ho is more than just fun-filled days of adventure, crafts, and games.

For child burn survivors, camp is a safe space where they can truly be themselves. Instead of concealing their physical and emotional scars, campers can open up among others who understand their journeys.

Here, they form friendships and meaningful bonds that last a lifetime!

Camp Gung Ho focuses on activities that encourage friendship, confidence-building and wellness. For young burn survivors, camp is more than fun-filled summer activities. It provides a unique opportunity to surround themselves with other children who can relate to their experiences. It offers a chance to open up about their scars in a safe environment. And instead of worrying about upcoming medical procedures and doctor's appointments, campers can enjoy days to the fullest and just be kids!

Children's Burn Foundation spoke with long-time camp attendee Jaqueline, who shared how camp helped her move past her injuries and build self-esteem. Similar to many other children, she described Camg Gung Ho as an event that she looks forward to all year long and the highlight of summer! Camp would not be possible without the incredible Council of Children's Burn Foundation and many generous Board members and volunteers.
