Thank you for making the 28th Annual Giving New Hope Benefit a huge success

Children’s Burn Foundation (CBF) held its 28th annual Giving New Hope Benefit on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Beverly Hilton. Burn survivor Kendall Urbano moved many to tears as she bravely unveiled her recovery story. Then, recent burn survivor Jay Leno delighted the crowd of supporters with his hilarious comedic antics and auctioned off highly sought-after tours of Jay’s Big Dog Garage.

Our community of donors showed up in droves to honor the extraordinary impact that Giving New Hope honorees Ruth Gilliam and Elinor Turner have impressed on the Foundation. We are immeasurably grateful to our board member, Fritz Coleman, for hosting the evening’s festivities and leading the live auction.

We thank The Council of Children’s Burn Foundation for organizing this evening to benefit our children. Because of your generosity, the benefit raised over $1.6 million to provide child burn survivors and their families with comprehensive healing, from life-transforming surgeries to psychological support until the child is 18. In addition, funds raised will continue to advance education on how to prevent and treat burns.

For thirty years, your support has allowed us to serve heroic children like Kendall, who inspire, find new paths of growth, and embrace wonder at every turn. You, our faithful donors, are instrumental in aiding these journeys to recovery
